THE 2016-17 SEASON OF THE ERIE PHILHARMONIC KICKS OFF WITH A BRAND NEW VERSION OF THE ANNUAL BEAT BEETHOVEN 5K!

The 2016 event will still include the original downtown race route, but the start and finish line have been moved just a few blocks north to Perry Square. Why? So each participant has the chance to hear the Erie Philharmonic start Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony LIVE from the stage at Perry Square.  Maestro’s first stroke of the baton will set the runners on their way.

Family, friends, and the community are welcome to join the music and fun in Perry Square for this free and live performance on Beethoven’s Fifth. Vendors from the local community will line the square from 9AM-12PM.

While on the race, tune into JET 1400 to hear the live broadcast of the Philharmonic playing the Fifth Symphony. If you cross the Perry Square finish line before the last note, you win a voucher for a complimentary ticket to a concert this season.

Not ready for the 5K? Try the new 1 Mile Walk that is new this year!
