Formed in 2014 while both Melissa and Luis attended Carnegie Mellon, the Lyra Duo won the Pittsburgh Concert Society Competition and quickly went on to perform several recitals. Along the way, during their extensive rehearsals and performances, they fell in love and tied the knot. Amazingly, they still enjoy performing together and can be found performing concerts as well as providing music for weddings, special events, and church. Together, they have taught master classes to college and high school students and performed throughout the United States and Dominican Republic.
