Violinist Jenny Oaks Baker was such a sensation in her Erie Philharmonic debut that we have invited her back - this time to join us for our Pops season finale. She’ll perform arrangements from classic Disney films including hits from her album, Wish Upon a Star. From A Whole New World to Beauty and the Beast, Jenny will bring a unique musicianship and flair to these classic film scores. The Philharmonic will fill the evening with other favorites from the rich songbook Disney has collected over the years.

September 24 is opening night of our 2016–17 Hanes Erie Pops Series! We are excited to welcome back our good friends, Jeans ‘n Classics, from Ontario as they present one of their newest shows, Every Breath You Take: the Music of Sting and The Police. With incredible hits like Every Little Thing She Does is Magic and Message in a Bottle, and Fields of Gold and An Englishman in New York, this concert is a great way to kick-off our pops series. We’re excited to feature the music of one of the most popular bands and solo artists from our generation.

We’ll celebrate Halloween with the best of the best as we present an evening of music by popular film composer Danny Elfman. His name is synonymous with the films of Tim Burton, and what better way to enjoy the delights of the holiday than with music from these magical films? From Batman to Edward Scissorhands, Sleepy Hollow to Beetlejuice, and, most memorably, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Danny Elfman has penned delightfully dark and ghoulish scores. The Philharmonic will also perform some classic Halloween music to add to the festivities.
Costumes encouraged for this musical fright night - prizes will be awarded!

In February, we are thrilled to offer a special viewing of the film Casablanca, projected on a large screen above the Warner Theatre stage, while the musicians of the Philharmonic perform the score live in perfect synchronicity with the action! Take yourself back to the glorious golden age of film, in Erie’s original movie palace, with the Erie Philharmonic providing the beautiful score in real time.
